Welcome to Monmouth Beach Physical Therapy
Dr. Allison Villane is a Doctor of Physical Therapy dedicated to providing individualized, one-on-one care to help her patients move better, feel more confident, and maintain independence. She graduated with honors from the University of Miami and completed a Neurologic Clinical Residency at Tampa General Hospital. She is a board-certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist with extensive training and a passion for treating individuals with neurologic conditions and other disorders that impact movement, balance, coordination, and daily function.
Dr. Villane is also a certified LSVT BIG® clinician and has developed and led community-based Parkinson’s exercise programs to support improved mobility and quality of life.
She has a special interest in working with individuals whose symptoms may be less visible and often overlooked, including those experiencing dizziness, autonomic dysfunction, and fatigue. Her approach focuses on identifying the root cause of symptoms and creating personalized treatment plans that promote long-term results.
In addition to neurologic care, Dr. Villane treats geriatric and orthopedic conditions, with an emphasis on maintaining function, optimizing performance, and preventing injury across the lifespan.
Dr. Villane believes that physical therapy should be approachable, customizable, and accessible at any stage—not just after a serious injury. Whether you are dealing with pain, noticing subtle changes in how your body moves, returning to sport, or simply looking to move and feel better, care is designed to meet you where you are and help you reach your goals.
Some of my advanced trainings:
- Neurological Clinical Specialist: A Neurologic Clinical Specialist is a physical therapist with advanced board-certified training in conditions that affect the nervous system, balance, walking, coordination, and recovery after neurologic injury or disease. For the patient, this means care is more precise and better matched to the way the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles work together. Treatment is designed to improve real-life function, whether that means walking more safely, feeling steadier, reducing dizziness, improving coordination, or rebuilding confidence with everyday movement.
- LSVT BIG Certified: An LSVT BIG certified clinician has completed specialized training in an evidence-based treatment program designed to help people with Parkinson’s and other neurologic movement disorders move with greater ease, confidence, and control. For the patient, this means treatment is not just general exercise, but a structured approach focused on improving the size and quality of everyday movements such as walking, balance, reaching, posture, and getting in and out of a chair. Sessions are designed to help patients retrain the brain and body to use bigger, more effective movements in daily life.
- Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist: Specializes in therapeutic strategies to aid recovery from stroke, improving mobility, strength, and coordination while addressing neurological deficits.
